Hi fellow anglers, I had another opportunity to fish the PACIFIC QUEST last Friday. I took 9 anglers with me and we had a blast. We left Pierpoint Landing at 9 pm and got to the back side of Catalina Island passed midnight. The crew turned on the squid lights and started harvesting tons of squid. They filled both of the baits tanks and fish holds. We were fully loaded and ready. Barbara McIntyre and I started fishing and stayed up all night. We tried but no biters. And then around 6:30 things went wild. Captain Josh got hooked and then two more guys got hooked up. Now we've got multiple hook ups going. All three fish were landed. Captain Josh got a 47 lb fish, Arthur got a 43 lb and Michael got about 40 lb. This is what it's all about. It's like a lottery ticket. Hoping you'll get bit next. I finally got bit and landed a 35 lb fish. I got more hook ups and gave them to other anglers but they were lost. Two Black Seabass were caught and released (130 and 160 lbs) by Adam and Barbara. Our finally tally for the day: 6 White Seabass, 2 Black Seabass(released), 20 Sargo and 1 Calico Bass for 10 anglers. I would like to thank Captain Josh and the crew for the best trip ever. The services that they provide you are second to none. As a kind consideration, Captain Josh divided his fish equally and distributed them to all the guys that didn't catch fish. That's the best gesture that I've seen so far, in a class by itself. Butch did a fantastic job on the gourmet meals. Chris and Michael are both hard workers. You should try your next charter with these guys. You will have an unforgettable trip ever.
